Life on Earth is about realising what you are all about. Not only the fleshy body that you see, but you are much more.
Awakening to this knowledge is important for the connection of the humanness with the spirit. The understanding of the importance of the spirit within – allowing the spirit within to play its part through the heart of the human.
All actions, thoughts and deeds from the human when given through the heart will accomplish what is asked.
All connections are needed for the growth; the understanding of the human’s journey – the journey to the Light.

These messages are channelled by Kay Meade, a New Zealand-based trance medium, from a group of beings in the higher spiritual realms who call themselves ‘The Circle of The Light of The Love Energy’. They say they wish to spread and increase the energy of love on Earth.
The several different spiritual guides that Kay channels have distinct voices, personalities and mannerisms, but all are saddened at how we treat each other and the Earth. They say their help and love would be freely given, if only we would ask. They see these messages as a catalyst for change, helping the transition to a world based on love.
This message is from the first book of their messages Earth Messages of the Love Energy.

The aim of this article is to illustrate why growth is fundamental to the universe we inhabit, as well as show how it is applicable to not just the individual human, but also our collective species. Yet the title generates several difficult questions. For starters, what is life? What about purpose? What does it mean to grow?
These are all challenging concepts to define, especially because there are different variations and perceptions of what they are. Yet it’s not impossible to get a general ‘feel’ for what they mean, so let’s have a crack at it.
Life is usually defined as plants and animals, however scientists and philosophers haven’t even come up with a proven or clear definition of what life is and why it manifests out of inert material. This thinking leads to questioning where the line is, or even more mind-blowing, whether there is a line at all.
For example, why can a plant be ‘alive’, but not a rock? At what point does matter come to life? Experts have deliberated over these questions for centuries, and sorry to disappoint, but there is not yet a satisfactory or universally accepted answer.
So, let’s reframe the question. Humans might be one of the few creatures on planet earth that are self-aware, but we can safely assume that animals have their own style of consciousness. This means our understanding of life usually corresponds to some form of ‘awareness’, because life, including plants, has a tendency to take action relative to the world around it. Bacteria and viruses have this same characteristic too.
This then begs the question; because the molecules and cells of plants and animals ‘respond’ to their environmental stimuli, does that make them aware?
Are atoms, which also behave according to their external conditions, conscious too?
If every layer of material reality potentially has its own form of awareness, regardless of how primordial it may be, is the entire universe conscious? Is it also then, alive?
We all want to have some sort of meaning to our lives and to leave a legacy for our future generations. Some of us embrace it through a metaphysical view and others create it through a pragmatic view. Some do both.
Regardless, to have a purpose is to have a mission that one is living or achieving. What though, is the mission? Who or what determines it? Why must there be a mission in the first place? Do we even have to be conscious of the mission that we have?
One of the primary purposes of animals and plants is to reproduce. Most forms of life need an ingredient from another kind of its species to achieve this, but life that only requires itself will still epigenetically mutate because of the impact of its environment. Growth has occurred, either by way of sharing genes or mutating them.
So when we look at the process of evolution, we immediately recognize its fundamental urge to grow, even if most of the species doing it are not ‘conscious’ of that mission. In this sense, life has an inherent purpose to grow. But what about a conscious purpose, such as that of a human who, for example, believes their purpose is to love and provide for their family?
When we look at this example, it is obvious that they want to not just love and provide, but also develop their love and what they provide for their family. They wouldn’t want to decrease it, would they? In this example, therefore, growth is also integral to achieving the purpose they have attributed to their lives.
Let’s take a look at the natural growth that has occurred in the universe.
In a physiological sense, all elements were created by the fusion of the two fundamental elements; hydrogen and helium. In addition, molecules are the result of chemical reactions which continue to form more complex compounds. Cells, which are arguably an initial form of biological consciousness, also change by responding to their environmental stimuli. All of these processes reflect a natural tendency for the universe to grow.
In addition, life has evolved into a plethora of plant and animal species. Naturally, life grew. But what if we consider the particular aspects of a species, or the species as a whole, such as humans?
For starters, our culture, technology, knowledge, language and population have grown. We have also become more creative. On an individual level, the development of our emotional, psychological, philosophical and intellectual capacities, since our birth, appears as a natural endeavor, as long as challenging life circumstances, such as systemic, cultural and individual dysfunctions, don’t impede that process.
Therefore, growing not just physically, but internally, is clearly a natural thing for us to do. However, given that the ways in which we are meant to grow are relative to each individual, it is up to each of us to figure out what that is in each ongoing moment. For example, we might need to focus more on emotional development than intellectual development, or we might need to prioritize managing our anger over developing our empathy.
In any case, if we accept that we are a conscious life form that has an inherent purpose to grow, on many different levels, then we have the responsibility to facilitate and amplify it ourselves. The beauty is of course, that there is never an end to how far we can develop whom we are, which reminds us of Heraclitus’ famous saying: the only constant is change.
If we consider what would be one word for the meaning of life, “growth” is a strong candidate because it is a simple rationale for all the turbulent change that this incarnation brings us. Making the most of it seems a reasonable and smart approach.
From this introspection it becomes apparent that we need to fully embrace who we are in each moment – for all our strengths and flaws – and strive to expand the heart and mind to the best of our ability. Learning the tough lessons and reinforcing them when they pop up again will obviously bring some developmental benefits. The challenges that life offers might invariably be difficult, however there’s nothing wrong with failing at times and aiming to be successful the next.
Even though personal development can bring so much variety, adventure and love to our life, it can also bring loss. It is awesome in some ways and not in others. Yet there’s no point having regrets; if we simply view our commitment to grow as an experience of discovery, wonder and embracing ourselves with all our human imperfections, we continue to become a more genuine version of ourselves and encounter new and exciting pathways to take.
Ultimately, life is a mysterious adventure of growth and not even an egoic death can end our energy.

Here in the spiritual realms, the formless arena where the potential for creativity is infinite, we watch over you with intense loving interest as the moment for humanity’s awakening draws ever closer. You have heard that many times before but I assure you it is true, it can only draw closer, there will be no backsliding because it is humanity’s collective intent to awaken and that intent is in total alignment with the Will of God.
It does seem to many of you who are working consciously and valiantly towards this major event that it has been delayed, and others among you sometimes doubt the authenticity of the various channelings you read that continue to uphold and present to you the inspiring vision of your imminent awakening. Please release your doubts because all is on schedule as divinely planned.
Try and understand that the illusion, in which you are immersed as humans, uses time quite flexibly. It seems from your modern scientific measurements that time is a constant, but in fact this is not the case, like the illusion, of which it is an aspect, it is illusory, it is not what it seems. It does not operate as a constantly flowing medium like a river to the sea, but is more like an ocean in which events occur, events that may not be related in time or place but which nearly always appear to be connected like cause and effect. It is a very confusing medium, especially as it appears to be so consistent and unalterable.
You have all experienced time as moving slowly, normally, or rapidly depending on what activity it was that you were engaged in, but then you have tended to dismiss the experience as illusory and of a purely personal nature. And of course it was! Every single one of you, every human, has their own deeply personal experience of life in the illusion. There are of course many similarities, but basically the experiential and illusory state that each human undergoes is deeply personal and is never repeated, it is truly unique.
Time is not fixed, it shifts, but the field in which it operates shifts with it, thus giving it an unreal impression of stability. So, the moment of awakening has not been delayed, quite the contrary in fact, it is approaching faster than ever because the collective intent to awaken has intensified, and it is that intent that is bringing it about.
You all – and there are no exceptions here – incarnated at this moment in Earth history to assist one another in your awakening process, but the environment of the illusion is so incredibly dense that the vast majority of humans have utterly forgotten why they are on Earth. Many are seeking guidance from religious organizations, from self help “experts,” gurus, and a varied assortment of therapists and personal growth workshops and seminars as they desperately attempt to find a deeper meaning in their lives than just earning a living. Earning a living is essential for 99% of humanity, and for 90% it is a grindingly boring chore that many seek to escape from through a variety of addictions that only temporarily ease the stresses and anxieties with which your human lives present you daily.
Your nature is Love. At the deepest and most real level of your being, your center where your true Self is aflame with the Light of God’s Love, you know this. The effervescent You, that God in His infinite Wisdom and Love created for all eternity, is always alive and well. However, once you chose to experience the illusion of separation from your Source you temporarily closed down your access to your true nature to make the games in the illusion seem very real, and in that you succeeded extremely well. You do get intimations of your true nature from time to time when your meditative practice takes you deeply into yourselves, but mostly you are seemingly caught up in the distractions of the illusion – the egoic drives that so frequently set you in conflict with one another.
Life is beautiful! Unfortunately the illusory experience with which it seems that you have to absolutely engage with in every moment for the sake of survival distracts you from this wondrous truth as you struggle with the ugliness and anxiety that life as a human entails. Yes, of course there are moments of joy, of pleasure, but they are but brief and infrequent rewards for your good behavior, or so it often seems. And yet most of you know that good behavior has little to do with rewards – the sun shines and the rain rains on everyone.
As small children it was suggested to you that this was the way the world works, but as you grew and matured it became obvious to the majority that this was most definitely not the case. Nevertheless, because you had been so well trained to behave well – frequent punishment and shaming for misbehaving, infrequent rewards for exceptionally good behavior – you do tend to put on a mask or a front of good behavior that is culturally and socially acceptable. Beneath that mask you may fume, rage, or sink into depression.
The purpose of your human lives is to uncover or rediscover your own creative abilities, your divine potential. And each one of you has your own unique gifts awaiting discovery and development. But, of course, many of you were educated, went to college or university and obtained professional qualifications to enable you to earn a living, and you are now perhaps trapped in careers that bring you very little satisfaction apart from enabling you to pay the constant stream of bills in which life as a human buries you. How, you ask, do you get out of that trap and give yourself the time and the space to allow your creativity to blossom?
Well, the trap is the illusion which for many is indeed a nightmare, and your awakening is essential and imminent. And it is all of you who are making the awakening happen. You have been asleep, unaware, and unconscious for far too long as the games that the illusion has presented you with have engaged nearly all your faculties. And those games are games of sickness, suffering, conflict, betrayal, and war.
Games like that automatically lead to fear and distrust, and to a belief that you can only survive by being strong, powerful, and dangerous, so that no one will dare to attack you. And those games and beliefs are based on your belief that your bodies are all that you are, and that when they die, you cease to be. That instills within you enormous fear because it mightily enforces your sense of separateness and aloneness, and, in the end, your utter insignificance in the grand scheme of things.
Therefore to understand that it is indeed an illusion, that you are all divine beings eternally alive in the Presence of God, and at One with Him and with each other, is a most wonderful, uplifting, and inspiring realization. Remind yourselves daily of this great Truth, in fact remind yourselves hourly until it becomes truly true for you and remains constantly in your awareness, as it will. And then you will awaken. That is divinely assured. Focus on Love, your true nature, and open your hearts to receive the constant and abundant flow that is offered to you, and then share your joy as you feel that Love, by sharing it with everyone with whom you interact. That is why you are on Earth at this moment, and you do know this.
Your loving brother, Jesus.
Written by Steve Beckow – The Golden Age of Gaia.
I’ve been asked to go over the purpose of life once more. It’s actually useful to do so from time to time because there’s no learning I can think of that’s more fruitful.
It contextualizes everything we do. It’s the broadest perspective we can take and puts everything, or almost everything, in focus.
In this restatement, I won’t offer the numerous quotes from enlightened masters that back up what I say here. (1) And for the source of my own knowledge of this purpose, I direct you to the vision I had on February 13, 1987 that showed these matters to me. (2)
After that vision, I remained in bliss for three days. But the vision itself was wordless and, for the next ten years, I read nothing but the works of enlightened masters, searching for words to explain what I had seen in eight seconds on that day.
I now see why that vision was given because it served as the starting point for everything I’ve written since then.
One could discuss the purpose of life from two vantage points: ours and God’s, if one could be so bold as to assert that one could possibly know God’s purpose in anything.
Let’s start with our vantage point.
The purpose of life for us is to know ourselves as God. That could be alternatively stated as knowing our true identity, knowing who we are, realizing our Self, etc.
Notice that knowing is the ultimate condition. It’s love that gives rise to that knowledge. In the vision experience, I saw that bliss, the great Comforter, does bring all things to remembrance. I had intuitive knowledge of all that the vision was showing me. (3)
In the experience of universal love last November, I saw that love brought unitive consciousness. (4) And more recently, I saw that love wiped away the existential conditions that so deeply bother us. (5)
That having been said, these experiences were transitory, as all are until sahaja samadhi or Ascension.
The fact that knowing is what gives rise to realization explains why discrimination is so important. We must discriminate between the Real and the unreal and then realize (not just know intellectually but realize in every cell of our bodies and even deeper) who we truly are.
We realize who we are in a moment of enlightenment. And not just a moment of realization such as spiritual awakening (when the kundalini reaches the fourth or heart chakra) but knowing at a level of realization that is way beyond the chakra system, way beyond even sahaja, which is a permanent heart opening, but far beyond that level and far beyond even the dimensions that define the human experience.
We emanate from God as a spark of life, love, and intelligence. That spark is known to all the world’s religions as the Self, the soul, the Christ, the Atman, our original face, etc.
It is known as the firebrand plucked from the burning and the lamp always burning on the altar of the heart.
It is known as the pearl of great price, the prince of peace, and the savior. It has a thousand names.
We mount Jacob’s ladder of consciousness, step by step, until we know the Son or Atman, the Mother, Holy Spirit or Shakti, and then the Father or Brahman. And far beyond the Trinity.
Once we merge again with the Transcendental One, beyond all materiality, we are again home. Whereas many sources call Ascension “full consciousness,” in fact full consciousness would be this final act of mergence with God.
That then describes the purpose of life for us.
The purpose of having created life forms, viewed from God’s perspective, as if that were possible, is, as a friend once described it, God meeting God.
When we realize God in a moment of enlightenment, God meets God, and for that purpose was all of this, all of life, created.
God is everything that is, One without a second. If you or I filled all of space and beyond, if we were all that is and all that is not, how would we possibly realize ourselves? We’d have no mirror, no other, or any other means of seeing ourselves.
Therefore for God to meet God, he created finger puppets (us) and then assigned them the task of Self-Realization, at which point, for a moment, God meets and knows Itself.
I use the image of “finger puppets”, because that image, which combines individuality and connectedness, best summarizes our relationship to God. Hindus might call that image “qualified non-dualism.” It is qualified until the final mergence, at which point it becomes purely non-dualistic.
All of this that we see and hear and touch is simply an illusion, smoke and mirrors, created to allow ourselves the conditions we need to separate out the Real from the illusion.
In recognition of this, we speak of life as being a lila or divine play, maya or illusion. Our task is to see the Reality that lies underneath, behind and beyond the play or illusion.
The spark of life that we are is an eternal being so therefore we are always, already immortal and eternal. What Jesus meant by “eternal life” was winning release from the need to be reborn again into material life, a condition that’ll be ours upon Ascension.
We may, upon “death,” shuck our outer, physical body, but at no point do we lose consciousness. Instead we simply step out of one body (the physical) and find ourselves in another (the astral), in the same way as we take off our coat when we come indoors.
Consciousness is continual; “death” does not cause a break in it, except for the suicide, who may find himself or herself in a temporary condition of semi-consciousness. (6)
So this then is the purpose of life – that we realize God by realizing our own true identity. This purpose is what makes answering the question “Who am I?” central to life.
And everything we do, everything we learn simply assists us to go one more step on this long, long journey from God to God, this journey of discovery of who we truly are. And who we truly are is, we discover, God.
