A 5.7 PLUS magnitude quake struck Plumas County and reverberated throughout California this evening. Per KCRA-TV in Sacramento TWENTY and still counting aftershocks followed.
KCRA-TV in Sacramento also reported that the Plumas County MASSIVE ROLLING WAVE LIKE EARTHQUAKE was felt in downtown Sacramento, about 145 miles south of the epicenter.

People in unknown numbers are now without power and water. It will take some time to find all the problems as it just happened tonight; but the loss of power has been reported on various news sources, and broken water systems. Emergency Crews are on high alert.
People in Yuba and Sutter Counties, south of Plumas, said they felt a rolling quake, according to the Marysville Appeal-Democrat.
Others reported feeling the quake as far away as the San Francisco Bay area, according to the USGS’s website.
The initial earthquake struck near the southeastern shore of Lake Almanor around 8:47 p.m. and was felt in Redding. Shasta County dispatchers say they are monitoring emergency traffic in Plumas County in case officials there need aid.
